People
A tall person walks into the cafe. They're wearing a long, colorful coat that seems to be put together with scraps of fabric. Not in a neat way like your grandmother's quilt, but moreso in the manner your 6 year old niece would decorate a cake. Their loud coat almost covers up the timid little face they're putting on - but not quite. They're avoiding your gaze and make their way to the counter, quietly ordering a hot chocolate, no whipped cream, and a blueberry scone, with whipped cream.
The person sits down at a table in the corner and they quickly scan the room before pulling out a worn-down book from one of their coat's pockets. You're wondering what else could be in those pockets, since they're big enough to fit a sizeable paperback.
Maybe you can try talking to them.
